Good Afternoon, People. Why yes, loyal readers, I am actually posting TWO DAYS IN A ROW! Amazing, don'tcha think? Anyway, I gotta go heat up some lunch... back in a sec.... See, bet you didn't even miss me. Mmm, microwavey goodness. Lean Cuisine Ravioli should be ready in about 5 minutes. I should look and see if regular Ravioli has the same amount of fat grams as this stuff.
So, now for a real post. Well, life is going okay. Aaron graduated from 5th grade; Max graduated from high school. Time is flying, yet I'm not all weepy sentimental about it. (Okay, I shed a few tears at Max's graduation - he IS my little brother, ya know!) Mike and I are still trying to get the finances worked out, but hey, that will be an ongoing thing, I am sure. I just wish I'd quit worrying all the time.
Okay, now for news... Jeremy and Terry are back from Alaska. They got back two weeks ago, and it's good to have them home. Bobby and Missi are celebrating their anniversary this weekend, so HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GUYS! Ed and Elizabeth got married May 3. Dougie and Karen broke up around the same time. Bryan and Madonna are expecting a baby, and hopefully on Monday we'll find out if it is a girl or a boy. Bridget and Byron are now the proud parents of Mary JoLee! We are having their baby shower tomorrow. Stu is bringing up all the stuff from Mer, since they can't make it because of Scott's knee surgery today. GOOD LUCK SCOTT!
Hang on, food is done... be right back.
Okay, so lessee... Jeff is, well, Jeff. Tim is the same too. So is Misty. Her 10 year High School Reunion is coming up, so she's getting ready for that.
Last weekend's canoe trip has been discussed a lot, so I won't rehash here. But, it was good to see everyone, and I am glad I got to spend time with Stu and Rebecca. I likes me some Rebecca. She's cool. And she loves my cousin, which is a major bonus. Stu is like 9 kinds of awesome (and no I am not writing that just because I know you'll read this, Stu!) and he deserves a good girl who loves him.
Well, I guess that's all for now. Today is Jerry (at work)'s birthday, so I am off to get dessert. (Diet? What diet?!)
Peace!

And what a better way to start back in the swing of things than with some tests:

HA! Another one:
Which Animaniacs Character are You?
"You are inquisitive to the point of getting trampled, run over, and blinded, on a daily basis. "
"Why.....?"
"It could be due to your scientific nature. You long to learn how things work."
"Why.....?"
"Because you really like to know things, but are prone to getting hurt."
"Why.....?"
"Because, if it wasn't for others generally taking the fall for you, you might well be dead by now! Remember, curiosity is great, but it also killed the cat. Well, in this case, the dog, Buttons, would probably be more appropriate."
"Okay, lady, I love you, bu-bye!"
And One More:
You are Tsukino Usagi
You are love food, boys, shopping, and hanging out with your friends. You tend to cry when things get too hard, and have trouble doing things right the first time. You probably need to study a little harder. Your faith in the basic goodness of all people keeps you on the right track, even when others don't see it.
Take the "What Magic Girl are you?" Quiz
This one cracks me up:

Okay, so much for keeping this "current". You know what's funny? When you are out having a life, you don't have time to document it, but when you do have time to document, you have nothing to ramble about. Hmm, funny that. Well, there are so many things that have gone on in the past few months, where would I start? Synopsis: Chrismas Good. New Years Good. AFC Playoffs bad. Superbowl good, considering the Titans didn't get to make it. SCA: over. Or at least mostly. Too much to explain here. Work Very good. McRegans, Cool as always.

Well, as usual, my cousin posted and made me all happy (THANKS STU-IE!!), so I thought I'd take a minute to write a little more about life these days.
Graphic design is just cool. Period. End of discussion. You get to draw all day long and get paid for it? Yeah, life is good. The folks I work with are just great. The one with the LEAST amont of tenure is SIX YEARS. Yeah, folks like it out here and they stick around. That makes me happy. I still miss the crew at ASU, and I hope they are all okay. I need to send some e-mails, especially to Sheri and Patti. Miss them a lot.
Home is great. Okay, the HOUSE is a total mess, but Mikey and I are gonna fix that tonight, because Angie and Amy are coming up for my birthday this weekend! HOORAY! (For the visit, not the birthday...)
The gang is doing just fine. Jeff is growing his hair back - HOORAY!!!!, as is Max. Bobby took Missi to Memphis for her birthday this last weekend, and she built a bear at Build-A-Bear Workshop, the coolest place ever. She got scrubs for it and a little pair of wire rimmed glasses and named it Mark. WAY TO GO MISSI!!! (She's a big ER freak, like Mikey.)
Misty is still desperately trying to get her room done, lacking only one strip of wallpaper, and then painting the walls and polyurethaning the floors. I gotta go help her soon. Ed is doing well: he's met someone lovely. Not my place to discuss it - if you want details, call Ed!
Tim's house is really NOT a figment of his imagination, as Jeff went out there this weekend. He says it is a pretty cool place.
And now for the bad news: Dee and Dave are moving. Yup, Davey got promoted to Manager of Sam Goody, so they are moving across the state. Big massive sad. What the heck am I gonna do without Dee? I don't want to think about it. However, we DID have a great weekend at Investiture, despite the fact that ALL FOUR of us were sick. Charlotte and Ray stepped down, and we just had to go see them. It was a very cool weekend, despite the illness. (And when we got back, Misty made chicken and dumplins, so yum!)
Well, the ol birthday is this Saturday, and I will be 29 for the fourth time. Well, it beats the alternative, yes? And I finally got my voice back, sorta, so life is good. (Oh, yeah, I haven't been able to talk since Thursday night. No comments, Jeremy. :o)
Well, I am gonna go. Gonna go work on my new blog design some before lunch is over. Good to be back with you guys.
Peace.

So, um, like, HI! *waves* Bet you guys thought I had fallen off the face of the Earth, yes? Well, no, it's just that things have been SO VERY busy. I haven't even been able to respond to e-mails...let alone update the ol Bloggerino. So, here's the long and short of it:
I got a new job! I get to be a REAL graphic designer!!! YIPPIE!!!!!
I will miss all my friends here on campus, but I am so looking forward to the new career. CAREER! Can you believe it?! This is just the greatest. All the folks at the new place are so very nice. :o)
Life is fine; my people are fine; I am happy. Truly.

It is now Friday 7/12/2002 at 8:28:44 AM. Event: Jeremy and Terry Come Home in 9 months 24 days 5 hours 31 minutes 16 seconds. To break it down otherwise: 43 weekends or 297 days or 7,133 hours (4,755 waking hours) or 428,011 minutes or 25,680,675 seconds. That is HAPPY NEWS!
Foss has a BAD toothache today. I had three fillings two weeks ago, and the dentist said they would be sensitive to heat and cold. Well, not wanting to be a WUSS, I kept putting up with the pain. But when I was eating a peanut butter sandwich and I had severe pain hit, nope... that was the last straw. I haven't been able to chew on the right side of my mouth for two weeks, so I am trying to get to the dentist this afternoon to have him fix it!
If I don't get to post, have a great weekend, be careful and enjoy it. And for those of you going to Bearbearians, be careful on the trip, DRINK LOTS OF WATER, and have fun for us.
Peace.

Hello my darling, wonderful friends! I am better, two days removed from that last post. I am worried about Natsuko....girl, what is going ON?
I will admit to all of you: I was seriously in a bleak place on Tuesday. A series of things triggered it: Boyo being so blatantly mean; work being so very stressful; our Staff Retreat getting cancelled - the one time a year when support staff felt appreciated; money woes; SCA stresses; worrying about a couple of really good friends' life situations... it just adds up. So, I went home and cried on Mikey's shoulder for literally three hours.
And then the dawn broke. Misty and Ed had called to check up on me. Then, Dee and Dave came by - and we had a wonderful visit. Dave just cracks me up, and Dee gives amazing hugs. I have wonderful friends. Then Mikey hugged me close all night, even in my sleep. I have the best husband ever.
So, when I awoke yesterday morning, life - while not perfect - was at a point where I could face things again. Work was not as bad as I had expected it to be. I got an e-mail from my favorite professor, which made me grin like a ninny. (You know when Snoopy is really happy and he floats in the air and wags his tail? Yeah, that's how it felt.) Then a couple of the other professors called the office and were VERY nice to me and one of them even commented that I sounded like my old self today, and that he had worried about me the day before when he talked to me. I spent my lunch hour hiding out in Aldridge's office, and he made me laugh. Such a great guy. Then I got off work and Mike and I went with Misty to see her real estate agent about the appraisers report. It went much better than Misty had anticipated. She was so happy that she took all of us out to dinner. (She said we all needed it.) THANK YOU MISTY!!! We went to TaMolly's and stuffed ourselves. Misty and I shared dinners and desserts. While the boys looked at us like we were nuts, we enjoyed a multitude of great food. :o) Misty and I took Ed some food, since he had to work last night. After that, we went back to Jeff's for a little while, but had to leave around 9:30 to take Aaron home so he could get proper rest and stuff.
Today? So far, so good. I get to go to lunch with my Mom in roughly an hour from now. I only have SIX checklists outstanding, so that is good. I guess I just have to take all of this one day at a time, right?
To all of my wonderful friends, I cannot tell you how much your comments here, your phone calls, and your hugs mean to me. Thank you all. I don't want to be back in that bleak place ever, ever again.
Peace.

Well, yesterday was interesting... I saw someone who used to be my friend. I waved and smiled...he flipped me off. Violently. Why do I keep trying? That's why I say "used to be." I always held out hope that maybe things would come around and he would work through his problems and then we could be friends again. But no, instead I am his hated enemy. *sigh*

Baby Names - Fossie The name of Fossie creates a friendly, sociable, charming nature, but causes you to be too easily influenced by others. While you find it easy to meet and mix, and can appear agreeable and compromising in conversation, you can become dogmatic and forceful if pressed too far. Others learn that you cannot be told what to do and you seldom change your mind once it is made up. You prefer situations that allow a degree of independence, but are reluctant to take on a demanding work-load or responsibility. In a position dealing with the public, you could do well because of your friendly personality, interest in people, and desire to please. When asked, you are able to give others good advice that you would probably not follow yourself, but must guard against being too opinionated in controversial matters. The physical weaknesses due to this name centre in the fluids of the body and the senses of the head, causing headaches, eye, teeth, or severe sinus conditions; also, kidney or bladder weaknesses.
What's In Your Name Test
Your name of Tracey makes you very idealistic and generous, with the strong desire to uplift humanity leading you into situations where you can express your desire to serve others. You want to assume responsibilities and to look after people; however, you can become too involved in other people's problems and tend to worry. Your name gives you a natural desire to express along artistic and musical lines. You desire a settled home and family life, and are expressive and attentive to your loved ones. You must be careful not to become possessive and jealous of those close to you, however, as you could attract losses and unfortunate experiences. If you attach an ideal of service to your life, you could find great happiness and could express a very beautiful, happy, responsible, artistic, and generous nature. The weakness of this name is in worry, which in turn affects the nervous system, creating a tendency to be highly strung or over-sensitive to the thoughts of others.
