Okay, so here I sit, listening to I Wish You Were Here by Incubus, and I have evoked so many feelings in my soul. Now we have Vertical Horizon on... there is an overwhelming feeling of desperation - happy not frustrated - on my mind. My heart is beating so very hard - I am breathless with anticipation. Anticipation for WHAT? I don't know.
Exposure. The total freedom of feeling or the ultimate insanity? If you expose your physical self, it can be thrilling and illuminating, but it can also get you thrown in jail for indecent exposure. So, then I ask - why would someone what to expose their inner self via this medium? Why do I do this? As someone dear to my heart so put it, "You know, they had these little paper things with covers and locks called diaries and you can write your secret thoughts in them and lock them away. That's why they are called 'secret.'" He just doesn't get the whole idea of these Blogs.
So then why do I do this? God, I have so much to say.... and so many things on my mind right now, yet I wonder how much to share with my blog...
I love my blog. I just wonder what the limits are...

Happy Friday! Stu has just turned me on to PVP (Player Versus Player) and I have now linked it on this blog. Too funny, especially if you are a gamer or computer nerd or are married to or hang out with said people. Especially if you know STU is this too funny.
Oh, and BTW, Edie Brickell was right: "Philosophy... is a walk on a slippery rock." Yes, guess who just finished her first philosophy homework? Yes, that would be me. And, guess who's head is reeling? Yep, you got it. Me, again.
The things I do to be an underpaid graphic designer one day... :o)

Oh my GOD! This past few days has just been a whirlwind!!! WHEW! Nothing bad, by any means, just BIZ-EEE!
The workouts are going GREAT! Water aerobics RULE! And, I am now the slave of Hydroxycut, but I figure I can handle it! (Stu, it is a weight loss/energy supplement that I bought at GNC. It is perfectly safe and legal. And Bobby is taking it too and he is fine. And Jeff told me to try it. Can't have my baby cousin worrying about me!)
Speaking of Stu... I have been wondering where he's been. I just read his Blog. GOOD LORD, CUZ! What a friggin NYE! Jason as in Shakaur Jason? Man, that is just a trip. I am sorry it was such a crappy experience, but at least your boss didn't get mad at ya! And, it is good to know that you are alive and well. I wish we'd seen you over the break. HINT: CALL MY CELL PHONE!!!! :o)
Man, lessee what else is up. Oh, I cannot believe that I have not posted this yet. Guess what Mikey and I bought? A 2001 Geo Tracker. Yep, Mikey finally has a ride that is not that old Dodge! Now, do not mistake me, we DESPERATELY appreciated the Dodge. But, it was literally dying. It died twice on the way to the car lot to trade it in. So, Mikey is jetting around town in his NEON BLUE Tracker. Yep, Stu, Mike's Tracker is the same color as your truck!!!!
So, Mike is happy, workouts are going well, and life is great. School is pretty good so far, and work is more hectic than I can say. I guess I'd better get back to it. Peace!

AYEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
Let me quote the e-mail I just got:
"Dear Tracey,
It's my pleasure to inform you that you've been invited to present your poetry and receive the International Poet of Merit Award at The International Society of Poets' Spring Convention and Symposium (our 12th convention) to be held March 1-3, 2002, at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Len Roberts
Educational Director"
EEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *happy dance* More details later, I am sure....wow. I have never won a poetry contest in my LIFE! And now, perhaps this one is going to bring monetary benefits as well? Wow. Me - an International Poet... who'd athunk it?!
Now, for the, ahem, other side of this coin....the inspirations for the poem. One of them is being such a pain in the posterior that I am not even concerned about his reaction. The other one, however... oh the other one. I mean, since I wrote the poem, we are so close again - closer than ever in fact - and now I am afraid he is going to not react well to this. My biggest fear is that he is going to just shrug it all off. Put up that layer that he shows to the world. And that I will never know how he really feels. *sigh* Oh well. I get to go talk to him about it tonight and then let him read the poem for himself.
But, for now, I think I am going to be elated. I did something good! :o)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Just when you thought I'd given up blogging, POOF, here I am again! :o) Lessee what the last weeks have brought.
1. I have a new job. Well, I will have in a couple of weeks. I will be an Administrative Secretary for the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. So, with the semester starting on MONDAY, I am going to have a million things to do. If I don't blog much, don't get too worried about me. :o)
2. Christmas. Christmas was great. We spent it in my in-laws' new home - a home that is still under rennovation. They haven't moved in yet, but we decided to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day there. I always look forward to Christmas, not for the gifts we get, but for the time we get to spend with the family. Makes me feel like I am a part of something very wonderful. My In-Laws make it so special for us. It is kind of hard to describe it, but I guess those of you who know me can figure it out! It was such a great time. And yes, we did get and give lots of presents. I enjoy shopping for my loved ones so much! I think everyone enjoyed the presents we got them. It was very cool that my Dad-in-law liked his stuff. Max got all kinds of stuff for his new room. Mom got almost all the books to complete her John Grisham hard-back novel collection. (We got her one, Max got her one, and Dad got her three, so all she is missing now is "The Firm.") Mikey is LOVING his new trench coat. And his dice from Crystal Caste. And all the other stuff. Of course, we all got spoiled by Mom and Dad, and each other, so it was fun all around. Aaron loved all the toys, and this year I even think he liked the clothes too.
Then came New Year's. Oh my gosh. The party at Oak Street was just too cool! We had just enough folks for it to be fun without having it get too crowded and out of hand. All the guests had a great time, even though many left right after the toast. The party itself was over by about 2, and then Mike and I crashed at Jeff's house. Jeff and I slept most of the day at his place, but Mike went out and about and ran errands and went truck shopping and all that jazz. Misty and Ed and the other Misty were up and around early, but then my Misty crashed out for a long while too. Mike came and got Jeff and me up and we went and got some lunch and test drove the truck that Mikey wants. Then we went back to Jeff's house and Jeff and I crashed while Mike and Max went to Misty and Ed's and watched a movie. We were awakened later and all of us (sans Ed - who went to see LOTR with some of his other buds - and Max - who went home to shower and crash out) met Bobby and Missi for dinner and then went to B&M's to watch movies. We got home prolly round 1 or so.
Then today is back to the grind...So, welcome 2002 - it's looking good so far!
