What? Who? ME? Not me....

What Seven Deadly Sin Are YOU? [?]

You're LUST! Sex, sex, sex! It's all you think about! You're not opposed to having more than one boy/girlfriend, and you're very flirtatious. You're represented by the color blue.

Question of the Week: If you could be any food, what would you be and why?

I would be CHOCOLATE! Think about it...if you are chocolate, you are good warm or cold; most everyone wants you; those who truly love you would do whatever it takes to keep you safe; those who are allergic to you stay away from you, or if they eat you anyway, then they are aware of the consequences, and it is up to THEM to deal with it; you can be as plain as bar shaped or be made all pretty and decorative (think chocolate leaf shapes or star shapes or stuff like that); you come in different types: dark, white, milk, mint (so you don't get boring); you make people very happy; and you go good with milk.
I think there needs to be a new section on Fossie's Blog, entitled "What ~~~~~~ Are You?" It could be a weekly thing, where I post the question of the week and let you guys answer it. Then you can put your answer on your own Blog or Livejournal or whatever. Yes, I like this idea, because we are all always taking these on-line quizzes... let us see what we think about ourselves!

Hey World! Look who decided to check in! Life is okay. The weekend was great, albeit too short. Friday night, Misty and I went to the Gym. Worked out on some machines we usually don't tackle. Saw a certain awesome professor there too. Man, he's brilliant...

Anyway, then we left the Gym and headed out to Aaron's soccer game. We got there as it was ending, but he came running up to my car with his (biological) Mother and they filled me in and told me that his team was going to the championship tournament. YIPPIE AARON!!! So, we went and caught up with Mikey and hung out at my house. Course, I wasn't much fun for Mike or Misty, as I was on the phone for most of the evening. Then we broke diet and got petroleum at Sonic!!!! (FYI, "Petroleum" is our pet name for the ice cream treats that Sonic serves, because that is what Misty says they are made of. She is usually a big TCBY or Baskin Robbins fan, but when Sonic is 2.6 minutes away and TCBY is 15 minutes away, you go to Sonic. Why? Because you can talk yourself out of cheating on your diet in 15 minutes, whereas in 2.6, you barely even have time to realize where you are! HAHAHAHA!)

So, Saturday morning comes and we all sleep in. Then Mike and I head to Misty and Ed's. We eat lunch and then go to Aaron's tournament. Well, they didn't win, but Aaron didn't seem too distressed about it. He went on home with his Mother after the game.

Mike, Ed, Misty and I piled in my car and headed to Wal-Mart to buy food for the Lewis-Tyson fight. Bobby and Missi bought it, and we all pitched in to pay for it, and then Grill Master Bob cooked for everyone. YUM!!! On the way back, we detoured so Misty could show Ed the two houses for sale that we thought were so cute. Long story short, Ed called the realtor, and now Misty is going to see if she can BUY A HOME!!! GO MISTY!!! Updates will occur here, I am sure.

Well, we head on out to Bob and Missi's and goof off. Missi made SAUSAGE BALLS!!! and I actually got more than ONE this time, because the boys were outside when the food came out of the oven. :o) We all chowed down on our steaks or whatever - did I mention that Bob is a great grillsman? Then it was fight time... Mike, Ed, Jeff, Bobby, Missi, Bruce, Betty, Misty and Me were all rooting for Lennox.. Tim rooted for Tyson...

OOPS! Work Calls.. gotta motor. Peace!

Thursday, June 06, 2002

Hello World! Quick update time... work is still a high-stress gig, and getting moreso by the minute. Don't wanna talk about that one...

Well, it seems that my COUSINS are all Black Dragons. Yup, Stu, Jeremy and Misty are all Black Dragons. Jeff is Golden - no comment - and I am Green!!! Ed is a Red, which I don't get, and Bobby is a Blue. (Makes sense to me!)

This weekend promises to be fun. Some of us are pitching in with Bob and Missi and we are going to watch the Lewis-Tyson fight! We are grilling out and all that good stuff. Man, I hope Lennox Lewis wins... he is just awesome. Tyson best KEEP his teeth away from Mr. Lewis!!!! That fight is over in Memphis, you know. Yes, I am THIS close to Lennox Lewis and STILL don't get to meet him. *sigh*

Last night, we went out to Jerry's and Jerry, Erich, Misty and I had a mini-fighter practice. We even fought IN THE RAIN!!! How hard core are WE getting?! :o) Seriously, it was a blast. I am looking forward to the more intense practice on Wednesdays. Going out there after the gym is still worth it, even though I am very tired when I get home. :oD

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIT!!!! 25 is a great place to be! :o)

P. S. Linkage to Kit's Blog will be up soon. I've already got Blue Canary linked below.
Howdy! Happy Monday! *chipper mood exaggerated*

Okie, dokie. Stu wanted a layman's explanation of my last post. Basically it goes like this:

I work in the College of Arts and Sciences. "Arts" is Criminology, Sociology, Social Work and Geography; English and Philosophy; Heritage Studies; History; Languages; and Political Science. "Sciences" is Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Environmental Sciences. The "Sciences" part is getting all this funding and new buildings geared toward scientific research. Therefore, if Arts stays in with Sciences, then Arts will get pushed to the background because the emphasis is on Science research. That would leave little or no funding to incresase growth in Arts. That would be bad.

So, they are wanting to split us up. There will be much discussion about that as time goes on, I am sure. It is gonna be a lot of work, I'll tell you that right now.

On to more unimportant things:

A GREEN Dragon Lies Beneath!

I took the Inner Dragon online quiz and found out I am a Green Dragon on the inside. My Inner Dragon is the embodiment of Nature and the Earth. Greens spend almost all of their time below the canopy or just above the treetops in tropical rain forests. Not a bad life considering every other creature in the forest looks up to me, figuratively and literally. I speak the language of every animal and plant in my domain and know most of them by first name. If people mess with my forests, I'm more than happy to wail on their puny butts. Because of my protector/caretaker role, I am the Earth Elemental dragon. Naturally my whole life pretty much revolves around the other couple million species I keep an eye on, but that's not my whole dragon. I also like to like to impose my steadfast will on others, commune with Nature, and lobby governments for alternative fuels and conservation. My favorable attributes are gemstones, mountains, caves, soil, respect, endurance, responsibility, prosperity, and purpose in life. Folks shouldn't get the idea I'm a hippy pushover though, because my breath weapon is a nasty Fire/Acid combination. Maybe I should invest in a hemp shirt reading "Don't knock my smock, or I'll clean your clock." *wink*

So, did ya MISS ME?! Yeah, I missed me too.... no seriously.. work has been rather, ahem, INTERESTING this week.

It was officially announced yesterday that they will be looking to split the College of Arts and Sciences in two. Snippet of the official word, courtesy of our Interim Vice President: "We are at a point in our history that demands that a research-scientist-dean begin to devote unusual attention to the interaction of our scientists and mathematicians with the new ABI initiative. It is my strong opinion that what we currently refer to as liberal arts will be ill served by such a demand on a dean’s attention. Accordingly, I think it imperative that we provide our liberal arts departments (by which I mean to include departments within the humanities and social sciences) with focused leadership and advocacy." So, we shall see as time goes on. And, of course, I'll post updates here.

On to other things...got the bedroom repainted over the Memorial Day holiday. The walls are lavender, and the accents are my usual dusty blue and dusty green. I cannot believe I made my room over to match my Monet prints, but you gotta go with what you love, yes? :o)

Okay, that's it for me now. Oh, my friend Daniel is also now a blog reader. Everyone say Hi to Daniel!

Everyone, have a safe weekend. Peace.

Zanna sent me this link: http://www.llewellyn.com/mpq/

which told me this about me:

Your Primary Mythical Creature
Satyr Water with Earth
Astrologically associated with Scorpio and the Eighth House
Water Types The main strength of the Water types is feeling. The second element indicates the most probable focus for this emotional expression.
Satyr types are warm and sociable but also enigmatic and mysterious. They are sensitive to others’ feelings and moods and are extremely insightful and perceptive. They feel a need to relate intimately with others and they often do so through sensual pleasures. However, they also have a tendency to be cautious and guarded and they need to maintain their privacy. This behavior confuses others and makes them appear unpredictable and capricious. They want to control over themselves and others in order to feel secure. They also want to merge with others to feel a sense of unity. They are frequently attracted to art and design, especially if it involves the natural world. They have a deep love of nature. They are imaginative and enjoy combining their creative urges with sensual pleasures in a productive way.
Your Shadow Creature
Dragon Fire and Air
Fire Types All the Fire types have problems relating to anger and aggression. The weakest element indicates the main focus of these problems.
This shadow is unreasonable, self-contradictory, and expedient. Pseudo-logic and tangled references to poorly understood arguments are used simply to justify current behavior. They are conceited and think that the usual social restrictions should not apply to them. They are snobbish, arrogant, and opportunistic. Their ostentation and name-dropping indicates an underlying sense of worthlessness. They want to succeed but lack the necessary drive, so they bathe in reflected glory. In their self-defeating attempts to do this they may give up their freedom and dignity. The biggest obstacle of weak Air is to overcome prejudice and ignorance; the biggest obstacle of weak Fire is to overcome anger and aggression.

Tuesday, May 21, 2002

Well, I suppose it is time to post my reflections from the weekend.

Friday night, Mike and I headed to Newport for Bridget and Byron's wedding rehearsal and dinner. We got kind of a late start, because I wanted to make sure my house was clean before we left. So, I called Mer and Scott on their cell phone, and we were almost equidistant from Newport at the time. Tried to call Stu-ie, but got his VM. So, Mike and I check into the Park Inn and then head out to the campus for the rehearsal. We get there and see Queen James and Rhonda and Chad, Bridget's family, Byron's family, Marc and Jill, and then FINALLY, I see Bridget. She's on stage, working on the set. Yes, you heard correctly...on stage. My Director of Theater big sister did her wedding as a stage production. And it was really cool. She's always threatened to get me in a stage production... now she's done it! :o)

Anyway, so she and I go to the kitchen, to make ice cream. (If you don't know Bridget... this is the woman that tries to make everyone feel at home. For those of you who DO know Bridget... you understand.) So, when the bride-to-be says "beat egg whites," you beat egg whites. So, we get the ice cream going and I decide to go look outside for Scott and Mer and Regan. Good timing, because they pull in the parking lot as I walk outside. Did I mention the weather? No? Okay, so the weather is YUCKY... heavy winds, dark clouds...icky. Well, I get to the van, and Regan is smiling and happy to see me. (You have no idea how that child makes my heart leap... it's good to be an aunt!) She comes to me and we hurry to get her inside out of the weather. So, everyone starts playing catch up and hugging and all that. Marc and Scott joked like they used to.. it was good to see.

Mer wanted to know if I'd heard from Stu. I said that I'd tried to call him, but got VM. Mer also wanted to know if he knew Jill was there. I said I didn't think so, but I'd call and tell him. So, I got through to Stu, and checked to see where he was and filled him in on what was going on so far. He was about 20 minutes away when I called.

They start serving dinner, so we all go and sit and wait to get in line. And, of course, it was the typical separation of people: Bridget's family here; Byron's family there; the friends somewhere else... but it was still fun. I suddenly thought I'd go check to see if Stu was there yet. I walked out (again) just as he pulled up. (Man, the McRegan radar was ON that night!) So, I get Stu hugs, Mer gets Stu hugs, and then we go in to eat and associate.

Okay, FINALLY around 8:30 we start to rehearse. Actually, we start to walk Regan (age 2) and Tucker (age 4) through their parts. Regan did VERY well. We all practiced until about 9:30 or so and then Scott and Stu, Mikey, and Mer, Regan and Me all loaded up and went to the hotel. We got the boys and the baby situated. Stu brought his wife, er, laptop with him and showed me his new project. DAMN, that boy is talented! :o) So, Stu worked on his projects, Scott read his book, and Mikey went to sleep.

Mer and I went back to the theater around 10. Why? Because Bridget said she'd be leaving around 10 to go home. Yeah, right. We get to the theater, and sure enough, they are still there, working on the set and stuff. Marc was doing the sound/lights, so they were working to get everything set up correctly. Finally, around 11:30 or so, Mer, Marc, Jette and I load up in Mer's van and head to Jette's house. Marc and Jill had to bail to go get Tot from work. (Jill and Mandy were at the house, working on bouquets - which were GORGEOUS, by the way!) Jette's mom and cousin were there too, as were Byron and some of his friends. Well, Mer and I tried on our bridesmaid dresses, which were very comfy, very cute and very GREEN! Byron headed out at 4 minutes til midnight; Mer and I left about 10 minutes later. Jette PROMISED she'd go to bed right then, but turned out that she didn't get to til 2 a.m. *sigh*

Mer and I get back to the hotel, and Stu and Mikey are snoozing. Scott is up and waiting for us. Mer and I are of course tired but still buzzing and chatting. Scott made some comment about Mer and I staying up and talking for a while.. so I took that as my cue to curl up on the other side of Scott! He said, "Like I didn't see that coming!" So the three of us talked and laughed for almost an hour. Scott kept mentioning "baseball.. baseball.." It was a good time.

Okay, so the next morning comes and Regan wakes up very early. She hadn't slept very much, but was in a good mood, considering. Stu got cold in the middle of the night, so he wound up curling up under the covers in the floor at the foot of Scott and Mer's bed. He was so cute! A Lasha ApStu is what Scott called him!! :o) We all get up and take showers and Mer and I do hair and makeup. We head out (Mer drove the Tracker because I like a doofus left my keys/license in Jonesboro.) and leave the boys to get ready. Might I add that both Mike and Stu were looking FINE in their dress-up clothes, and Scott was his usual babe-a-licious self. Lots of stressing (to try to get Jette to get READY, not to keep working on cake and flowers and all that stuff...), primping and preparing for me and Mer and Rhonda.

Meanwhile, I am not sure where Stu was, but Mike and Scott drove Regan around to try to get her to take a nap. That didn't work. So they thought they'd take her to the park to try to tire her out. That resulted in her landing in a mud puddle and causing much trauma... and still no nap. So, it was around 1:15, no boys, no flower girl... I hop on the cell phone and hear that they are at US Pizza, waiting for lunch to get ready....poor boys.. they were trying so hard to take care of the baby and get food for all of us so nobody would pass out...Somewhere in all of this, Jeff showed up. Man, he was fine too. :o) (Our boys are gorgeous, just in case you might have wondered what I thought of them!)

Everyone finally made it to the theater. Bridget was simply gorgeous. There is just no way to describe it. My girl wore a TIARA with her veil, and it was just smashing! Her dress was off the shoulder, beaded and pearled, man... she was the perfect bride. Her uncle was her escort, and he was quite a funny guy.

Okay, so show time... We get in our alcove, the groomsmen get in theirs...cue the music... minister and groom walk out... Florence (Jette's real sister and Matron of Honor) walks out from our alcove... best man and ring bearer walk out from their alcove... HOLD IT! Ring bearer? He was not supposed to go out yet! Well, come to find out, he got nervous and wanted to go with the best man - who was Byron's dad, btw. Okay, everyone breathe...Chris walks out from their alcove.. I walk out from ours..we smile and meet in the middle... walk up with no problem... I stand by Florence... turn around to see Chris 2 and Mer walking out... good job... Queen James and Rhonda... giggling and coming down the aisle... good, good... cue the crecendo... here come Bridget and her uncle.... minister asks everyone to stand... Bride and Uncle make it on stage... music fades out...ceremony, ceremony. ...who gives this woman? Her mother and I. Thank you uncle, be seated. Everyone step closer...exchange of vows... Jette starts to cry, Byron makes her laugh.. exchange the rings... say a prayer, AMEN. Present Mr. and Mrs. Byron Collins. I bend down to streighten the train so my girl can walk without tripping. Bride and groom walk up aisle, exit stage left. Best man and Matron of honor walk up aisle, seperate... SEPERATE? Hold it! They were supposed to stay together and exit stage right... so, Chris and I meet, and seperate too instead of exiting stage left. Hey, when the first couple set a trend, everyone else should follow it. So, Mer and Chris 2 did what me and Chris 1 did.. Rhonda and James stayed together (which afterward Rhonda said that it looked like THEY were the only ones who did it wrong... they had the Minister behind them saying "Stay together" which was the original plan.)

Okay, so after that we have lots of pictures, then the reception...then we strike the set and clean up the scene shop. The cake was VERY good! Finally got to see Misty (cuz I didn't see her before the wedding!) Also, James and Teresa and Andrew were there too. Marc had to bail early, so he left way before we did. We all get hugs from the new bride and groom, and the gang caravans back to J'bro.

We all converge on China Garden. James, Teresa, Andrew, Scott, Mer, Regan, Stu, Jeff, Mike and Me. Misty catches up with us later. We eat and then head back to our house. Much laughing and hugging and, ahem, an appearance of the beast. (Poor Misty!) We stayed up pretty late. Guess nobody wanted the night to end. But Jeff headed home, as did Misty, and the rest of us went to bed.

Got up the next morning, and Stu was too tired to get up. So, the rest of us went to IHOP for breakfast, and then said goodbye to Scott and Mer and Regan. (I did very well: no tears, but it hurts everytime we have to say goodbye. Mer and I don't have to say it - we're sisters. I wish they lived closer.) Regan smiled and waved goodbye as they drove off. It was so cute! Anyway, Mike, Misty and I went to K-Mart, and then home for a nap. Stu and his wif.., er, laptop, were playing a game when we got home. So, I woke up to go conduct the monthly business meeting, which went very well. Also, when we got to the park, we found that Jeff had bought us (mainly Mikey) a sheet of aluminum so he could make some new armor. Go JEFF! Thanks a bunch, babes!

After the meeting, Mike and Stu went to help Mike's dad move something heavy, (THANK YOU STU!) then met Jeff, Misty, and me at Ryans. We were joined shortly thereafter by Blue, Zanna and Ian. Dinner was great (Poor Stu-ie... he got so very full!) and then we went back to our house again. Dee and Dave came by for a while. Stu left around 10. Broke my heart to see him go. I miss him so very much.

So, Dee and Dave left around 11 or so, and then Jeff left and then Misty left around 11:30. It was a great weekend.

For MY summary:
Stu may not be MARRIED to his laptop, but.... :o)

More wise words... this from my friend Denise:
"There are times when we all need the strong support of friends and family. Afterwards, we can return to our normal lives, though a bit changed: wiser, more compassionate, and with a few more gray hairs. Life has a great way of challenging us when we don't expect it. I suppose that this is why we fill up the closets. We're waiting for some great reason to clean them out." This was part of a conversation we were having about me wanting to do nothing but clean house after the stress of finals was over. She said that she always cleaned closets after finals while she was in college.

Well, lessee... I won't be here tomorrow. I am taking the day off and cleaning my house!!! Bridget is getting married to Byron on Saturday, so the McRegan clan will once again all be together. (Jeff even changed his work schedule to be there.) Regan is going to be the flower girl. How cute is THAT going to be?! :o)

Good Tuesday Everyone! I am about to go to my FINAL final for this semester! ***AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!!!*** Then, I am taking Jeff to the doctor at 2. HOPEFULLY, they will give him a good report, along with DETAILED instructions of just when he can start doing things (going back to work, SCA combat, drinking unlimited liquids... stuff like that.) Stu, I'll e-mail you when I get back, 'k?

MEANWHILE, your friendly neighborhood blonde had time to do some quizzes this morning....

This one is in honor of my beloved hubbie and all my wonderuful boys....
I Am A: Chaotic Good Human Fighter Ranger

Alignment:
Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups.

Race:
Humans are the 'average' race. They have the shortest life spans, and because of this, they tend to avoid the racial prejudices that other races are known for. They are also very curious and tend to live 'for the moment'.

Primary Class:
Fighters are the warriors. They use weapons to accomplish their goals. This isn't to say that they aren't intelligent, but that they do, in fact, believe that violence is frequently the answer.

Secondary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Deity:
Tymora is the Chaotic Good goddess of luck and good fortune. She is also known as Lady Luck, and also Tyche's fair-tressed daughter. Followers of Tymora believe in the tenent that, 'Fortune Favors the Bold,' and will throw caution to the wind and trust to luck to work things out for the best. Tymora's symbol is an unmarked silver disk.

I am Princess Buttercup from the Princess Bride according to the Princess Bride Character Selector. And, I am Ardeth Bay from the Mummy if you listen to the Mummy Character Selector. (You know, Oded Fehr's character? Yeah!)
Well, guess what? Paige has a Blog too! Gonna add linkage in a sec.

I love it when old friends come back into your life, even if it is just over the net for now! :o)

This quiz was made by KG

Tuesday, April 30, 2002

Yep....today is much better.
Man, what a long time since I've posted. Lots of things have happened. The highlights:

Finally got over being sick. Check.
Finished semester project for Library Media class. Check.
Finished extra credit for Philosophy. Check.
Went to concerts for Fine Arts Musical. Check.
Wrote concert reports for Fine Arts Musical. Check.
Crammed for Fine Arts Musical make-up exam. Check. (Thank you, Misty!)
Took Fine Arts Musical make up. Check.
Oh, and of course, the biggie: checked Jeff into the hospital. Somebody that young and that tough should not be as sick as he was, but he was. We could have lost him - it was that serious. I don't want to write it down - I don't want to relive it. He is much better now, but has a long way to go.
Luckily: 1. We have the best friends on the planet. 2. We got in touch with his family. 3. He bucked up and survived.

Mer and Scott, Stu, Bridget and Byron, Jeremy and Terry, Dave and Steph, Shakar, Shannon, and Holland all came in to see Jeff. We were all together. It was "old home week" as Steph put it. I just wish it had been for reasons other than one of our own being so very sick. To all of you guys who traveled so far: we really are lucky to have each other. Thank you all so very much. I love each one of you.

Plus, Bobby, Ed, Misty and Mike have been sheer ANGELS through all of this. They pulled shifts around the clock to be with Jeff until we got in touch with the family. I don't know what I would have done if it were not for them. If you guys ever read this, you all have no idea how much you mean to me. Thank you so much for the coordination and pulling together. You four have done so very much that I cannot begin to list it all here. Thank you for taking care of my Bubba. I know he means so much to us all.

And Stu, thank you so much for everything: being a rock when I needed it; for coming home when I could barely get the words out to ask; for being part of the muscle; for taking J&T to Memphis, even though you had to turn right around and drive all the way back to Conway AND had to be at work the next morning....Cuz, I don't know what I would do without you. You are truly a huge part of my heart. Thank you so much for being my Cousin.

In all honesty, I thank each and every one of you guys who dropped everything to come home this weekend. It was so good to see you all, and I think that your being here is part of what has made Jeff better.

Oh, and on TOP of all of this: EVENSONG FOREST ROCKS! When I got to the business meeting Sunday, all of you had all the snafus worked out. Any question I had was answered; every duty was volunteered for. You all pulled together and I am SO VERY GRATEFUL for each of you as well. You guys make me proud.

These life lessons may be hard learned, but when you learn them, you feel very good.

Going to Philosophy class. Maybe more quizzes later.
And now for something completely different....

Victim was chained to you, then were slowly crushed as the handle was turned. Smaller versions of you held only the victim's head. Oww. You're a real pain to be around when you're angry, but you could force a confession out of the most stubborn.

What torture would you be?

Hello Blog! Long time no write! Busy here still, but had to take a second.
Okay, um, Coronation weekend was busy but fun. Mike and I left Friday night, just the two of us. See, Misty wanted to go see Holmes in a play in which he starred, so she headed off to Iesha's earlier on Friday. Also, Joe was supposed to go with us, be he got the whole day off, so he got to go with Rayne and Caedmon. So, it was just Mikey and me. We drove to past Memphis, and ate at the Applebee's there. Steak was good. :o) Then we drove to Tupelo and spent the night. Since our FIFTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY was Saturday, we figured we'd celebrate Friday night instead.

We got up the next morning and drove to Royal, Alabama, where the event was. In case you've never been to Royal, Alabama, let me tell you this: Highway 78, the road you take to get there from here, is very hilly, two lane, and goes through many small communities. So, the trip took us like 3 hours. Well, I was kinda sweating it, because I knew that Radu and Broinfhionn wanted to elevate Rayne into the Order of the Pelican, which meant that They would have to do it at Their last court. Well, Their last court was supposed to be held at 9:30 a.m. We left Tupelo at 7:30 a.m. For those of you who are math deficient like me, that means that yes, we missed court - or so one would think. So I am kinda disappointed when we get on site and then I see Rayne. And she's all dressed up and hasn't gotten her Pelican regalia on or anything. So, she tells me that no, They haven't done it yet, that court has been delayed and is about to start in 10 minutes. So, picture if you will a very happy me. :o) Mike and I practically RUN to Troll, troll in, jet BACK to the Tracker where we throw garb on OVER our regular clothes, and head back to sit with Rayne, Caedmon, Joe and Jerry, when we see TRM, TRH, TSH and TSE all processing in to court.

Long story short, I got to be there to see my dear friend elevated! YIPPIE!!! (If this last paragraph makes NO sense, click on the s c a link on the side and it will take you to the homepage of where all of this began.)

So, after the courts, we watched the pickup fights. Mike, Joe and Jerry all got out and did pickups with other squires and knights that they rarely get to see. They all had fun. Misty and I got to sit with Caedmon and watch the fighting and got to hear very good pointers from him. And it was good to just visit with him, since I haven't seen him in so long. I've really missed him and Rayne. Then, the knights had a meeting, which Caedmon went to. The squires and other fighters decided to do melees. Mikey was the marshall, and I asked if I could marshall too. He said yes, go get a big stick. So, I went and borrowed one from a wonderfully sweet squire (who's name escapes me). Then Luther came out there and helped me learn how to marshall. He's real cool like that.

Well, Misty made it to site, but she was not pre reserved, which meant she didn't get a bed or feast. Since all the bottom bunks were taken by the time Mike and I made it to site, we all decided to head on out and catch a hotel on the road. So, back to Tupelo we went. We ate at Outback and then went back to the hotel and crashed.

We got up the next morning and drove back to Memphis. ANNND we went to Wolfchase Galleria for shopping!!!! Clinique, Lane Bryant, Build-A-Bear Workshop, GODIVA, and the Disney Store got some of my money. We were ALL OVER that mall, let me tell you. Then, we headed over to Red Lobster for YUMMY dinner. After that, we headed back home. It was a very good but very tiring weekend.

Okay, so Monday brought work. It was so hectic over here that I didn't get to go to Philosophy class, Fine Arts Musical class, or lunch!!! So, I went home and ate Chinese food with the boys and Terry. Then I had to go to the Library to do homework for Tuesday's Library Media Class and to Wal-Mart for Slim Fast bars and Granola Bars for lunches/breakfasts/snacks.

Tuesday was pretty similar to Monday, except I did get to go to Library Media. And then we got a huge bundle of news dropped on us: MY DEAN IS LEAVING!! She got a position at another University, so she is leaving in JUNE! :o( NO!!! I just got here! Of course, if it is good for her, then I am happy for her. But her leaving is going to cause a very large hole in this University. She has done more for our college than I can say. I will miss her.

Wednesday was better. No lunch, but I did make it to both of my classes ANNNNDDD I finally got a huge stack of scholarship applications processed! (Which is good, because the committee meeting is FRIDAY!!) Also, Dr. Cave gave our Philosophy exams back. I made an 81, which is a B. Not stellar, but not failing either. Averaging my two exams together, I am sitting at an 87.5. If I do well on the last exam, and keep doing okay on the quizzes, I should get an A from the class. Cave is cool. He makes you think. I'd take his classes anytime.

So, here we are to today. I am so behind on e-mail it ain't funny. I need to e-mail Donna, Bronwen, Bridget, Ed, Bobby, Shannon and Judy. Maybe tomorrow, if I'm lucky!

Oh, and I added Bobby's page to my links. I hope he smiles when he sees it. :o)

Gotta run. Work to do. (BTW, this has taken me like two hours to write... I just kept saving it periodically when work would come up for me to do!!!)

Peace! :o)

Hello! Quick Blog.... um...
1. Jeremy and Terry arrived safe and sound from Alaska.
2. Terry is an ANGEL!!!
3. I GOT STICKERS at SPAGHETTI WAREHOUSE!!
4. My folks gave us a great anniversary gift!
5. Mike and I are going to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary tomorrow! He's kept me for five years. Too cool. Actually, since we are going to an event in ALABAMA this weekend, he and I are gonna celebrate tonight. :oD
6. I am going to "lunch" at 4, since I didn't go during the day today. I get home to Mikey sooner! WOO HOO!!!

Peace!

Monday, April 01, 2002

Happy Monday? Dunno. Depends on how I do on this Philosophy exam at 1. It's a big one, and I'm a little nervous. Plus, Mikey (not on purpose) gave me his cold. So, he had it for like two days and he's all better. I, however, not being the regenerative powerhouse that my sweetie is, am STILL icky. I sound like Marge Simpson, only worse. Yes, I have laryngitious, so I should be answering the phone like, "College of Arts and Sciences - Plague Division." I am a little tired, and icky, but other than that I am okay.

The weekend was nice. Angie and Kerry and the kids came up. Dee and Vic and Julia came down Saturday night. We put Easter baskets together for the kiddos. They liked them, I think. Aaron kept commenting on his bunny. And he ate candy til he was gonna pop. Yet he STILL took home a whole bunch (okay, so Dad and Tracey went a little overboard, maybe...)

After they left on Sunday, and Shannon left Jeff's, Jeff came over and we went to La Cabaรฑa for dinner. Saw my Mom and Dad there. It was good to see them. I miss them.

I finally got to talk to Jeff a little. There's still a lot on my mind, but I told him all I am able to. I can't get the rest past the lump in my throat.

On to happy news, Jeremy is coming home for a visit. Good lord, the boy is actually gonna be home from Alaska. ANNND he's bringing his new wife too. Cool. I get to go pick them up from the airport tomorrow. It's gonna be a hoot. I just wish Mikey could go to Memphis with me.

Shakaur has hooked up with Kira. Wow... two of my little babies... all grown up and hooked up together... somehow that is at once comforting and freaky. Ed is going out with (what I am told is) a very sweet young lady. I haven't met her yet, but Ed Man seems happy. I likes it when my Ed Man is happy.

Max is working and driving around in the Jeep and having just a great time. He is the coolest sixteen year old I've ever known. And I'm not just saying that beause he's my brother in law either. He is really just Da Man.

Now all we need is for Stu to find Miss Wonderful. Then all my boys will have "growned up" on me.

Hello goes out to my dear friend Ronda, who is a new reader to my Blog. HEY RONNIE!!!
Who's Your TV Crew?
Dawson’s Creek (Is anyone shocked?)
Stability is all you really look forward to in life. You like your friends just the way they are. Sure, stability means you get kinda annoyed when there's no ketchup for your morning breakfast ritual, and you must watch TRL at 3:30 on the dot. But you don't always have a stick up your butt. With the help of your girlfriends, you like to spice up your life every now and then -- but keep the changes subtle (like getting highlights instead of a complete dye job at the salon). You and your crew are definitely semi-pretentious -- the words "Kafka-esque", "Neal Pollack" and "French New Wave" are part of your vocab. For the most part, your crew's a buncha homebodies -- roaming too far sometimes gives you a panic attack.
And, Which WB Character Are You?
Joey Potter
Everyone knows you as the smart girl. The girl with direction. The girl who's going somewhere on the strength of her inner character and hard work. And that's totally you. In school, you work hard, stay focused, and succeed. But you're not exactly what anyone would call the stereotypical high school geek or anything. You're part good girl-next-door, sure. But you're also part stubborn bee-yatch and part angst-ridden drama queen. You just internalize all your raging emotions so you can present a successful faรงade to the world. And while all your accomplishments are gonna take you far, it wouldn't hurt you to let loose once in a while. You know, party a little. Dance without worrying if people are watching you. You'd be a much happier person if you did.

You never know when Joey's gonna take off on another boat trip with Pacey. So if she disappears for good next time, consider yourself equally able to step into the shoes of these brainy babes: Elena Tyler (Felicity) or Isabelle Evans (Roswell).
Heh, heh... :o) I just took the FUNNIEST Quiz: Are you a HOOCHIE?
Halfway to Hoochieville
You're almost a hoochie, but not quite. Yeah, your wardrobe has some pretty scary articles in it -- you are a bit of a trend whore -- but when you leave your house, you always seem to look sort of, well...presentable. But watch out, one wrong accessory could turn you from tasteful to tacky! You walk a fine line, girlfriend. Be careful. Ditto in the interpersonal relationships -- catfights are bad!

Tuesday, March 26, 2002

Oh, good. I finally got my Blog to looking right again. It was kinda caddywhumpus for most of the day!
Look, a bandwagon. Look again.. there's me jumping on it. :o)

I'm so like Homer!

I'm Homer, who are you? by Lexi
So, here's my project from last year's Kingdom Arts and Sciences

You can click on it to see a larger image. I am so very proud of this project!
Heh, heh.. go here and you'll see what I assume is Mikey's take on the Oscars. :o)
Happy Tuesday. (?) I think I am gonna move some stuff around on my side panel on my Blog today. As time allows, of course. :o)

Friday, March 22, 2002

Hmmm.... Da' Clique may have a slight alteration to make.... according to this Who are you in the band? Quiz, I am:

Guitarist
Don't think of yourself as the second in command (which you're not), think of yourself as the person with mad skills who likes to show 'em off whenever she can. You thrive on showing up all your competitors, be it in school or fighting for the TV remote at home. It's not like you don't long for the spotlight in and of itself, though. You -- like Tom Delonge and Staind's Mike Mushok -- just want everyone to notice how good you are at whatever it is you decide to do. And when you decide to do something, you work at it until you're the best out there. Still, when the spotlight does happen to shine on you, you're perfectly happy to bask in its glow. Basically, you work hard to develop your natural abilities, and then you let those abilities speak for themselves. Cool, huh?
Happy FRIDAY!!! All is well so far today. Stu is coming up tonight!!!! I get cousin time this weekend, with bonus taco ring!!!! YIPPIE!! Also, I get to go have lunch with Bryan at 2 before he leaves for MidSouth Con. Philosophy class is at 1... yeah, today is looking pretty good so far.

And, Aldridge sent this to me. Actually, it is part of the e-mail of stupid things that people say in court. (Real, legal ones, not SCA ones!):
Q: Do you recall the time that you examined the body?
A: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m.
Q: And Mr. Dennington was dead at the time?
A: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was doing an autopsy.

Funny stuff!

Don't you just love on-line tests? :o)

You're Snickers!

You're a classic. You're popular. What else could you ask for? Maybe a taste in music, but that's up to you.

See what Care Bear you are.

And, here's a site that Shannon sent to me. For those who wonder about female fighters ....
Women Knights in the Middle Ages
Thanks Shannon!

What LoTR Character Are You?

Happy Wednesday! Guess who has a very large Fine Arts Musical exam at 5? Oh, that would be me. Guess who's studying last night hasn't stuck in her head? Oh wait, that would be me too. Am I stressed? Mmm, lessee... when a person with a 3.65 gpa gets her midterm grades and on those midterm grades is a D in a class.... you tell me if I'm stressed or not. :o)

Tuesday, March 19, 2002

Ah, Tuesday. And that's about it. Today is going to be BUSY with checksheet work. I have already gotten THREE e-mails from the Registrar's office about checksheet problems, plus I have 7 that I am processing right now. *sigh*

On to good news, welcome to Bobby and Tim as readers of my Blog!

Quick results of today's test:

Which "Natural Wonder" are you?

Monday, March 18, 2002

Pause the fun for just a second...I have spent the last 15 minutes UNSUBSCRIBING from mailing lists that I never signed up for... and I still have several to do. (This is on my Yahoo account.) *sigh*
And now, for today's test....

Which tarot card are you?

But what does it MEAN? I must go investigate.....
GOOD NEWS!!! JACE has some new stuff up on his page!!!!
Good Morning, Real World. Hi Stu! Hi Jocelyn! - My two biggest (only?) Blog Fans!

Well, I must say, Gulf Wars was quite the hoot. I got to see lots of old friends, do lots of shopping!, and just chilled for three days. I got out of here early on Thursday, but even though Misty was scheduled to get off at 3, she didn't. In fact, she called me at 3:30 saying she had just gotten a food break, and had to go back to work. *sigh* So, we left at around 8 Thursday night, and got to site at 2 a.m. Mikey was asleep by the campfire when we got there. Mer and Scott had gone to bed, but Mer had asked that I wake them up when we arrived. So, pretty much we went to sleep.

We got up Friday morning around 9 and hit the shower. Then Misty, Sara, Mer and I went to town for supplies. We got back and tried to go to the Oils and Vinegars class, but the person who was going to teach it did not go to the war. So, Mer and I went shopping. She started feeling yucky again, so I walked her back to camp and then came back and met up with Misty and Sara and we shopped. Well, I wound up spending $150 on a GOREGOUS outfit that would have normally cost me $450. Mikey really, really liked it. Then we got back to camp, ate dinner, and went to Meridian Court for THREE HOURS!!!! In the end, it was Mikey, Misty, Marvin, Big Jon, Charlie, Angie, and me sitting in a group, with Brandr and Camilla a few seats down. Let me tell you, Charlie and Jon had us cracking up. Then, Marvin had this quiet dialogue going too, and he was just real funny. We all then went back to camp, and Angie and Vebrand had their FINAL final Baronial Court. Angie gave Charlie, Marvin, Jon, Scott, Brandr, Mikey and Kerry their Brooms. It was so very funny. (Wait, who am I forgetting.... there's one more besides Stu...) After Baronial Court, we gathered around the fire. Eventually Sara, Misty and Me went with Scott, Charlie and Jon to Shadow Legion camp to get Stu so Angela could give him his broom. We get to Legion camp, and Stu is dancing around the campfire, singing Jonny Jump Up. We get him to come with us (he used Jon for support to walk) back to camp. The walk back was funny, because Jon is 6' 8" and Stu is 5' 5"... it is just too funny to translate to Blog...Well, we get back to camp, and merriment as usual ensues. Stu got to sit on the bear...someone took pictures...

Saturday brought going to Herald's Point and getting the McRegan badge submitted. We had to make changes, but at last we are going to be official. Scott also got his name and device documentation done and Misty got her stuff submitted as well. Woo HOO!!!
Then, Mer and I went and grilled sandwiches for the Gleann Abhann warriors. (The Barony of Small Gray Bear has started a great tradition of feeding the fighters on the field on the day of the big battle. Camilla and others did an outstanding job on the organizing and I am glad that I got to volunteer to help with the cooking again this year.) Then all of the ladies involved with working on the lunch - after all the sandwiches were gone and cleanup was done - went back to camp and sat around and talked. It was a very nice experience. Then we all went and took showers. Shopping with the boys came next, followed by dinner and hanging out.

Scott, Mer, Misty, Mike and I broke down camp early, sat around the campfire with everyone til about 1, and then went to Hattiesburg to grab a hotel. Around the campfire was great, because everyone just sat and sang and goofed. Then we had bards from Ansteorra come and sing for us. Tiggy, the Bard of Ansteorra, told the story that earned him his title, plus sang other pieces. Scott sang his Small Gray Bear song, and it was just great. Stu performed his "I'm Just a Squire" and others. (STU, I want the words to that song, please.) This is such an abbreviated tale of all the songs and stories and total enjoyment. You just have to be there to experience it all.

Outstanding moments from the war:

"By the Gloves of BRANDR!"
Brotherhood of the Broom
Beintheinne became a full Shire
McRegan's Badge finally submitted

Many, many more, but I have to leave for Philosophy class! :o)

Thursday, March 14, 2002

Guess who's going to GULF WARS? Oooh, oooh, *waving hand Horshack style* I know! I know! ME!!! Right here! I get to go!! SEVEN hours and counting.... *sigh*

And you know what the funniest part is? The main reason I want to go is so I can see Mikey again. Yes, the guy I'm married to. The guy who left JUST YESTERDAY. I am pitiful without him. I confess. Hey, when you've been with someone for almost ten years, you get attached. I just want to get to him and have a massive Mikey hug. * blissful sigh* :o)

Wednesday, March 13, 2002

Well, here we are... day three of Spring Break. Wonder how everyone is... Mike left for Gulf Wars today. Regan caught the stomach flu :o( so Scott and Mer were delayed in leaving. However, it's kind of a lucky break. S&M brought Regan up here today, and the timing worked out so that Mike and Scott and Mer all left together! :o)

So, I have been passing the time by working. And when I am not working, I am doing online tests. Woo HOO! The latest results are:

My alignment is: You have 3 points towards Lawful. You have 1 points towards Evil. You are True Neutral.

Am I a feminist? My score: 82 My results: Not too bad, but you can do better. Keep working on it- maybe try kicking a few guys wherever you want to, then start lighting them on fire. Slow and steady wins the race, okay? You've got a long way to go, but I think you'll survive.

The Dream Interpretation Quiz I am On Top of the World
Congratulations! Your quiz score reveals that you feel strong, confident and in control. Maybe you recently found the love of your life, or perhaps your boss is finally rewarding you for the all the extra business you've been bringing into the office. Whatever the case, you feel secure with yourself and ready to take on any future challenges. Just remember, there are some things in life that we can never control -- so if you slip from your pedestal of power from time to time, don't be too hard on yourself.

Monday, March 11, 2002

Hello World!

Things are just fine here. Spring Break started today, and that means that campus is quiet. (THANK GOD, because we can now catch up on our paperwork around here!)

The weekend was good. Angie and the kids came up. And Shannon and Sara came and stayed with Jeff. Saturday night was neat, because everyone wound up at our house. We ate takeout from Dragon City and sat around and talked. Sunday, we went to fighter practice and visited. Mike and I neither one wanted to fight. Jeff didn't either. So we all just visited. Sunday night we went to Dixie for dinner, then to Books to take Ed some food. Shannon and I wound up having a long heart-to-heart and I think we now understand where the other one is coming from. It's all good.

Am feeling better physically. Emotionally: aloof bordering on numb. Need some fun. Quick fun. Did this test.

Rogue
I'm Rogue
What X-Men Character are You?

Wednesday, February 13, 2002

I think I have strep throat. I am going to the doc at 11. Then a philosophy exam at 1. *sigh*

Tuesday, February 12, 2002

I went to Jo's Blog. She had a toy. So I played and this is what I got:

I'm a Fire Spirit

You are quick to take action and sometimes quick to judge. Your firey spirit is seen by most as positive energy and a true joy of life. If only your temper was seen the same way, but don't let it keep you from what you truly enjoy, being alive!
Well, well... look who's back? Yep, it's ME! Things have been so very busy with the new job. I love it - don't get me wrong - but there is just not enough "down time" as there used to be. Maybe Mikey and I can get internet at home soon. Yes, the computer arrived. Mikey stayed up very late last night to play with it.... I went to bed.

Last weekend was good. We all caravaned to Lagerdamm's Newbie Collegium, and I think the group really enjoyed themselves. Also, JEFF won the NEVERMORE TOURNEY, and JOE came in second in both the Nevermore and the PROTECTORATE tourneys, so I am very proud. John won the Protectorate tourney, which also makes me proud of the baby squire! I took my armor and fought some too. (Pick ups, not tourneys! However, I may enter the Fledgling tourney at Candlelight... we'll see.) I got to fight with SCOTT and he is really proud of my progress! STU did an outstanding job with all the fighting activities. (Go my Cousin!)

Speaking of progress, I have also lost another four pounds, taking my total pounds lost to 26!! Yes, I have lost 26 pounds since January 1. I hope this keeps up!

Well, I have to get back to work, but I just wanted to check in and blog a bit. Peace.

Monday, January 14, 2002

Okay, so here I sit, listening to I Wish You Were Here by Incubus, and I have evoked so many feelings in my soul. Now we have Vertical Horizon on... there is an overwhelming feeling of desperation - happy not frustrated - on my mind. My heart is beating so very hard - I am breathless with anticipation. Anticipation for WHAT? I don't know.
Exposure. The total freedom of feeling or the ultimate insanity? If you expose your physical self, it can be thrilling and illuminating, but it can also get you thrown in jail for indecent exposure. So, then I ask - why would someone what to expose their inner self via this medium? Why do I do this? As someone dear to my heart so put it, "You know, they had these little paper things with covers and locks called diaries and you can write your secret thoughts in them and lock them away. That's why they are called 'secret.'" He just doesn't get the whole idea of these Blogs.

So then why do I do this? God, I have so much to say.... and so many things on my mind right now, yet I wonder how much to share with my blog...

I love my blog. I just wonder what the limits are...

Friday, January 11, 2002

Happy Friday! Stu has just turned me on to PVP (Player Versus Player) and I have now linked it on this blog. Too funny, especially if you are a gamer or computer nerd or are married to or hang out with said people. Especially if you know STU is this too funny.

Oh, and BTW, Edie Brickell was right: "Philosophy... is a walk on a slippery rock." Yes, guess who just finished her first philosophy homework? Yes, that would be me. And, guess who's head is reeling? Yep, you got it. Me, again.

The things I do to be an underpaid graphic designer one day... :o)

Thursday, January 10, 2002

Happy Thursday!!

Wednesday, January 09, 2002

Oh my GOD! This past few days has just been a whirlwind!!! WHEW! Nothing bad, by any means, just BIZ-EEE!

The workouts are going GREAT! Water aerobics RULE! And, I am now the slave of Hydroxycut, but I figure I can handle it! (Stu, it is a weight loss/energy supplement that I bought at GNC. It is perfectly safe and legal. And Bobby is taking it too and he is fine. And Jeff told me to try it. Can't have my baby cousin worrying about me!)

Speaking of Stu... I have been wondering where he's been. I just read his Blog. GOOD LORD, CUZ! What a friggin NYE! Jason as in Shakaur Jason? Man, that is just a trip. I am sorry it was such a crappy experience, but at least your boss didn't get mad at ya! And, it is good to know that you are alive and well. I wish we'd seen you over the break. HINT: CALL MY CELL PHONE!!!! :o)

Man, lessee what else is up. Oh, I cannot believe that I have not posted this yet. Guess what Mikey and I bought? A 2001 Geo Tracker. Yep, Mikey finally has a ride that is not that old Dodge! Now, do not mistake me, we DESPERATELY appreciated the Dodge. But, it was literally dying. It died twice on the way to the car lot to trade it in. So, Mikey is jetting around town in his NEON BLUE Tracker. Yep, Stu, Mike's Tracker is the same color as your truck!!!!

So, Mike is happy, workouts are going well, and life is great. School is pretty good so far, and work is more hectic than I can say. I guess I'd better get back to it. Peace!

Monday, January 07, 2002

Welcome to the first day of school. I cannot believe I have a minute to post... things are kinda hectic, but so far so good. :o)

Friday, January 04, 2002

Now we know....

Take the 100 Acre Personality Quiz!

And all these years we thought MIKEY was Pooh! :o)
AYEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Let me quote the e-mail I just got:

"Dear Tracey,

It's my pleasure to inform you that you've been invited to present your poetry and receive the International Poet of Merit Award at The International Society of Poets' Spring Convention and Symposium (our 12th convention) to be held March 1-3, 2002, at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Dr. Len Roberts
Educational Director"

EEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *happy dance* More details later, I am sure....wow. I have never won a poetry contest in my LIFE! And now, perhaps this one is going to bring monetary benefits as well? Wow. Me - an International Poet... who'd athunk it?!

Now, for the, ahem, other side of this coin....the inspirations for the poem. One of them is being such a pain in the posterior that I am not even concerned about his reaction. The other one, however... oh the other one. I mean, since I wrote the poem, we are so close again - closer than ever in fact - and now I am afraid he is going to not react well to this. My biggest fear is that he is going to just shrug it all off. Put up that layer that he shows to the world. And that I will never know how he really feels. *sigh* Oh well. I get to go talk to him about it tonight and then let him read the poem for himself.

But, for now, I think I am going to be elated. I did something good! :o)

Wednesday, January 02, 2002

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Just when you thought I'd given up blogging, POOF, here I am again! :o) Lessee what the last weeks have brought.

1. I have a new job. Well, I will have in a couple of weeks. I will be an Administrative Secretary for the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. So, with the semester starting on MONDAY, I am going to have a million things to do. If I don't blog much, don't get too worried about me. :o)

2. Christmas. Christmas was great. We spent it in my in-laws' new home - a home that is still under rennovation. They haven't moved in yet, but we decided to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day there. I always look forward to Christmas, not for the gifts we get, but for the time we get to spend with the family. Makes me feel like I am a part of something very wonderful. My In-Laws make it so special for us. It is kind of hard to describe it, but I guess those of you who know me can figure it out! It was such a great time. And yes, we did get and give lots of presents. I enjoy shopping for my loved ones so much! I think everyone enjoyed the presents we got them. It was very cool that my Dad-in-law liked his stuff. Max got all kinds of stuff for his new room. Mom got almost all the books to complete her John Grisham hard-back novel collection. (We got her one, Max got her one, and Dad got her three, so all she is missing now is "The Firm.") Mikey is LOVING his new trench coat. And his dice from Crystal Caste. And all the other stuff. Of course, we all got spoiled by Mom and Dad, and each other, so it was fun all around. Aaron loved all the toys, and this year I even think he liked the clothes too.

Then came New Year's. Oh my gosh. The party at Oak Street was just too cool! We had just enough folks for it to be fun without having it get too crowded and out of hand. All the guests had a great time, even though many left right after the toast. The party itself was over by about 2, and then Mike and I crashed at Jeff's house. Jeff and I slept most of the day at his place, but Mike went out and about and ran errands and went truck shopping and all that jazz. Misty and Ed and the other Misty were up and around early, but then my Misty crashed out for a long while too. Mike came and got Jeff and me up and we went and got some lunch and test drove the truck that Mikey wants. Then we went back to Jeff's house and Jeff and I crashed while Mike and Max went to Misty and Ed's and watched a movie. We were awakened later and all of us (sans Ed - who went to see LOTR with some of his other buds - and Max - who went home to shower and crash out) met Bobby and Missi for dinner and then went to B&M's to watch movies. We got home prolly round 1 or so.

Then today is back to the grind...So, welcome 2002 - it's looking good so far!

Byeeeeee!!!!!
So, okay, I am working pretty steadily today. Employee Status forms for all our new temp part time instructors for spring, finding a vacuum cleaner for the department, budget stuff, oh, yeah, and the PHONE!!!! And people wonder why I hate the phone after I get home from work. Prolly cause I am on it all day at work. Everytime it rings, it is a problem that I am supposed to fix... not getting depressed about it, just stating fact. But, the day is still a good one. :o)

*SIGH*
Ilissa has done it again. She always posts such insightful things for us to read. This time she told us why things were different this year, and I will place a few of them below:

1. Last Christmas we were thinking about all the things we didn't have. This Christmas we are thinking about all the things we do
have.
2. Last Christmas we were placing wreaths on the doors of our homes. This Christmas we are placing wreaths on the graves of our heroes.
4. Last Christmas we were counting our money. This Christmas we are counting our blessings.
8. Last Christmas we were trying not to let annoying relatives get the best of us. This Christmas we are trying to give the best of ourselves to them.
10. Last Christmas we thought a man who could rush down a football field was a hero. This Christmas we know a man who rushes into a burning building is the real one.
14. Last Christmas we were wondering how to give our children all the things that money can buy. This Christmas we are wondering how to give them all the things money can't (peace, security).
19. Last Christmas we were contemplating all the changes we wanted to make in the new year. This Christmas we are contemplating all the changes we will have to make in this new reality.

Like I said, this is just a few of them. They are all good thoughts. Maybe, just maybe, this year we can all get over ourselves and our "issues" and enjoy what is right here with us right now. Maybe dreams can come true or maybe they already have and we just need to open our eyes and see them....

Hello Blog Fans. Just wanted to check in. Today is going to be a steady day, but I figured I'd at least post something throughout the day. I wonder where STU is?.....

It's FINISHED!!!! My American History final is O-V-E-R! WOO HOO! It took me TWELVE HOURS of working on it (it was open book for an internet class.) THE PRINTING PROCESSES NOTEBOOK IS FINISHED!!!!! It is being bound RIGHT NOW!!! WOO HOOO!!!!! *happy dance*

"Thank you so very much" goes out to Misty, who proofed, proofed and reproofed it, and then she printed out halftones for me; and to Mikey for doing an awesome job in binding; and to both of them for being the most excellent support team throughout this whole thing. I love you both so very much, and I thank you for everything, especially dealing with my emotional times.

Now, we go HOME! Peace!

Ummornin! Today brings, you guessed it, my printing processes notebook. But, before I plunge in, I had to take this test.

If I were a work of art, I would be Pablo Picasso's Three Musicians.

I am colourful and provoking, always looking to break out of the mould and to pioneer new ways of doing things. I have a jaunty outlook and although I am a bit weird, most people have some idea what I'm about.

Which work of art would you be? The Art Test

I AM 48% GOTH.

Oh My Goth! You Goth, Girl. Freakiness pumps through my viens, but I can still laugh at myself.

Take the GOTH Test at Fuali.com!

I am 59% ADDICTED TO THE INTERNET.

I am pretty addicted, but there is hope. I think I'm just well connected to the internet and technology, but it's really a start of a drug-like addiction. I must act now! Unplug this computer!

Take the INTERNET-ADDICT Test at Fuali.com!
Well, I did get an e-mail from Janna who thanked me for the new graphics I did for her Eye Clique. Hopefully she will get them up on her site soon. (No, I didn't make the block ones, I made ones that look like this:) I made one for each color eye that she had in the clique. I am glad she liked my work!
I am now going to find a blogback type thing for Stu. He's been wanting one, and I want him to have one.. so, here goes, Cuz!
Well, here were are. Monday afternoon. *sigh* That's just the way I feel - like sighing. Nothing wrong, nothing exciting... just here. I want something happy to happen. Maybe if I think and wish REAL hard, then a happy thing will happen.
